Deborah H. Alderson

Deborah H. Alderson is the Chief Executive Officer of ViaPath Technologies. A leader in the corrections industry, ViaPath Technologies has a straight-forward mission – to help break the cycle of incarceration through transformative technology and services for incarcerated individuals, their support network, correctional agencies, and returning citizens. Alderson has more than 25 years in executive-level leadership positions working in national security, including focus areas on operations, driving growth and value, and working with private equity firms. 

Since being named CEO in April of 2018, Alderson has focused on building a company culture that provides technology to an underserved community to allow for impactful communications. This technology also creates a safer environment for the officers running the corrections facilities, gives the incarcerated an opportunity to connect, and offers their friends and family peace of mind, bringing some normalcy to their lives. Deb guides ViaPath Technologies with a focus to reduce recidivism by preparing individuals to reintegrate into society with the tools and connections needed to succeed. 

Prior to joining ViaPath Technologies, Alderson was the President and CEO of Sotera Defense Solutions, Inc. where she led the company through the successful sale of the company to KeyW Corporation in April 2017. She was previously Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of SRA International where she oversaw four main operating groups with over 6,000 employees. 

Alderson entered industry after earning her bachelor’s and master of science degrees from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. She has served on various industry panels and boards, is involved in a variety of philanthropic activities, and has been recognized by several organizations and industry associations for her business accomplishments.
